Prices go very low - relatively of course. 75% off is quite common. They hold the most reduced sales of any shop I've ever seen. The beginning of the sales can be stressful as the hoardes of bargain hunters are phenomenal - I've heard people travel to the UK just for this reason. There are huge queues on day one just to get in.
But I suppose they buy everything out. I've mostly been later on in the sale and was surprised at the state of some of these 'bargains' (75% off two grand is still quite a lot of money). They make up a warehouse-like room where you can browse by size. Don't expect luxury though. The cheaper stuff becomes very affordable though, even in bulk! I usually leave with a few pairs of jeans and a few tops.

harrods sale is fab!! but as agutka says, it's mayhem!! crowded isn't the word !! :D

I normally leave it for a while before going, I normally have the kiddies with me which makes it harder and I really dont think i'll go with them this time around as it's really not fair on them, may just take the older one as he loves going!!
the kiddies also love the burger place with the tv's and children meals.

The toy floor is another bargaintastic gold mine, if you have any kids or young at heart peeps to buy for. I picked up toys and games at "dirt cheap" prices but the brands are top! fisher price, Tomy, barbie, thomas tank engine etc etc.

I often spend a while in the baby room and get the goss of all the bargains people are snapping up.

I go for the bag room and find fantastic bargains there, the perfumes and skincare are also fab.

Being plus size, I dont really get to snap up clothes for myself but find brill bitz for hubby and kiddies. The sports floor have soe really good bargains so if you're into sports, or even just sports wear go there. If you have time check out harvey nicks up the road :)

I do go on dont I!! LOL

oh and if you need the rest rooms, go to the ones near the resturants as the others are packed with queues..... can you tell I love harrods sales??? :D

I am spending a week in London over Christmas. My daughter will join me during the week. She has been saving her EMA for ages just for the Harraods sale. I`ve warned her about the scrum but she can`t wait. Don`t get in her way.

I'm not 100% certain but I'm sure if you get one of their store cards you get access to the sale before everyone else.
I know a friend said it's worth having the card just for the sales.
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves

dont think i'd get the card, credit score etc.
Would be good for others tho. I remember when House of Fraser used to have special shopping evenings for the card holders. My mum used to take me along.... memories :D
