  • I would recommend Katie Byram. We haven't had our wedding yet, just over a week to go ...but she's been so helpful and friendly all the way through. We met her a few weeks ago and she totally put us at ease. So far, so good!
much work to be done - new sig coming soon...

We've budget for £1000 but obviously would prefer not to spend the whole £1000!

Karen Mcgowran, she has a website and is on facebook where u can see some of her work, she's fantastic! Prices start at £950, get cd of all images, full day coverage, pre-wedding shoot etc etc. I have her booked for next year!

we are going with sarah and mark foster (website same name) wedding isnt till next year but they are both lovely and our emails and meeting with them really swung it for us. Its overwhelming looking at pics of other peoples weddings, i found it hard to judge if they were what i wanted so we ended up going more with our impression of "them" than their photos. Dont get me wrong the photos are brilliant, but thats only half the decision IMHO as they are such a huge part of your day and your only lasting tangible memory.
Sharpee-you're planning from afar too arent you? Sarah is sht-hot at responding to emails so you dont have to wait ages for contact from them. That was another important factor for me, i cant be doing with hanging around for days waiting for an email

6 years ago (how time flies!) I used Kenn Elliott

    Good points:-
Competent as a photographer. Certainly worked hard to get a photo of everyone at the event, and all the photos looked well exposed and didn't have people's heads chopped off (unlike someone elses wedding album I've seen recently)
Seems to care. Visited my wedding venue in advance as he hadn't been there before to check out shooting opportunities.
Pretty good communication skills during the whole lead up and booking process

    Bad points:-
    Could be snappy with guests.
