Asda stores that were Netto

Can anyone please tell me what the small Asda stores are like which were Netto stores?

I have only ever been in the huge Asda ones, never seen a small Asda store.

Do they tend to have mainly foodstuffs and do they have deli counters etc in them.

Our local Netto (which I only used to venture into when a particular item was on offer, they only ever had one till on, two if you were lucky!), is closing on saturday for a week whilst they convert to an Asda.

Ta!

They will probably be similar to most small Tesco Express stores.

They will sell almost everything, being food, drinks, etc. But probably won't have deli's, bakerys, butchers, electricals etc.

However, this will all be dependent on the actual size of the store.

    Thanks for the info.

Just looked at the link and it says ours will have
    • Bakery Counter
    • Food to Go
    • Hot Chicken
Must have been considered to be a decent sized store to have those inbuilt.

Our local Netto went to an Asda it is alot better than before but it seems to run out of stock very quickly due to the fact that Netto either had very small warehouses or none at all.Our small Asda has a counter selling cooked chickens and bread baked in store (which is cooked from frozen).
The Asda is better than the Netto that was turned into a Morrisons which is way to small and seems to have little choice or stock.

    Thanks very much.

Looking at the video, the aisles are going to be a lot narrower than they were as a Netto, so should have a hell of a lot more choice.

I always see the posts for food bargains at Asda and can never be bothered driving there for a few odd items, now I will only need to drive a short distance.

    :D
  • They are also charging the same prices for goods in the small Asda stores as they do in the big ones - unlike certain other supermarkets who charge you more for shopping in a smaller store!

Our local Asda opened this week I went in on first day and of the things I bought 3 were charged wrong I asked if they took credit cards because Netto only took Debit cards It took 5 mins to find out as the till operater did'nt know When I checked my bill they were 3 items which They had put in double so I went to an assistant to get a refund and it took about 15 minits to get my money back as hardly anybody knew how to work the tills So not a good experiance
