Income support and self-employment

Options
I'm 18 years old, currently in full-time non-advanced education living away from my parents claiming income support.

I'd like to know how would my income support be affected if I decide to declare myself as self-employed for under 10 hours per week as a freelance computer technician.

An important note is that I do free laptop repairs for my website portfolio at the moment but do calculate potential profit, and could be making an extra £30 or less per week at the moment. (Which I could increase if I'm making a money from it and advertising on my website).

I've read a lot on the topic of income support and self employment, and it looks as if people can either claim income support and live comfortably or work self-employed with IS and struggle in potential poverty. I'm not sure if that's a risk I'm willing to take - but something I'd like to do. Obviously, if my self-employment becomes successful I would have to stop my Income Support claim (which is actually my ultimate goal).
