cutting own hair

I have saved a mint since about 1972 cutting my own hair. I got the 'gadget' from a a national newspaper which carried pages of small adds on Saturdays, and it was very cheap. It has lasted until now and I desperately want to replace it. It is a white "wand" 6 inches long in total. The business end is 2" long and takes a flat razor blade with 3 holes in a cut- out down the middle, which is held in place by a cover which, in turn, clips onto two tiny knobs which go through the razor blade. (Please don't go away, I've nearly finished!) One of the knobs dropped off last week and although the cutter is still useable it is obviously well past its sell-by date. Aforementioned paper is now full of holiday ads (are they all?) and I have never seen it advertised anywhere else. I can't tell you how much I hope someone knows what I'm where I can get one. Thanks for any suggestions

havnt a clue from your description what you mean, except, could it be a thinning comb? other than that im lost
