£1 cheques cashed by creditors...

all of my £1 cheques have been cashed by my creditors...does this mean thay have accepted my £1 agreement through payplan without writing to me?

plus, i need to write to barclaycard and tell them to freeze my bloody interest as it goes over the credit limit by £100 each month. they have also cashed my £1!!!

any tips...

  • Not necessarily.. they could turn round and say that the £1 was taken as 'part payment'... you could always call payplan and see if they've heard anything from them..

£1 cheque's? Nice to see you are dealing with your debt..
Of course they will cash any amount you send them, even if the admin charge's to them outweigh the amount.

You would probably have better luck if you "asked" them;)

Hi mike - Unfortunately it does NOT necessarily mean that they have accepted, or even intend to accept your offer.
What it DOES mean though, is that, should they decide to take action against you, through the courts for example, you have proof that you have been making token payments, which will be viewed favourably by any court.

i see. they all took the payment on the same day. seems fishy! well, atleast i will be debt free by 2345ish...hahaha. i think i will need to put it up some more from a pound to maybe five!!

£1 is not making a difference. well, very very small.

    Every £1 counts ;)

I'm the same..... all my £1 cheques have been cashed, even got a letter from Clydesdale Bank Mastercard saying they will accept a token payment of £1 for 3 months then after that they will review the payments, by that time my DMP should be in place with Payplan.

I haven't heard from Payplan since 29/11/06..first contacted them on the 19/11/06.... I've sent them a couple of emails but haven't heard back, I'll call them on Monday.

    DC :o
All going to plan I'll be debt free March 2010....3 years and counting... :T
