Personal Allowance Over 65

Hi,

I was 65 about half way through the tax year 2010/2011. Am I entitled to the additional personal allowance for:

1) The whole 2010/2011 tax year.

2) Pro-rata from when I was 65.

3) Not until the start of the current tax year 2011/2012.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Axel

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

It sounded like good news, but unfortunately I did not realise that the additional personal allowance does not apply if your earnings are over £28K in the tax year.
