False Toenail

Options
Following on from an operation on my toe that went wrong years ago i was left iwth a thicker horrible looking nail. They can file it down but today they've said utimately it should come off but i don't want that....She also suggested that i could have a false toe nail put over the remaining nail as it wouldn't harm it at all....

Can someone suggest somewhere cheap i can buy false toenails or is it a case of it really needs to be done at a salon?

If you have some nail there already you can buy them in boots! Boots do their own brands, and theres also broadway nails ones too. Will post link to the ones i have found best in a mo.
Salons will do them but i think (from experience) theya re quite uncomfy if you are wearing closed toe shoes. The false ones you apply yourself can also be filed down to your ideal length

I find ^ best as they have tabs on so you dont get glue everywhere and the tabs just break off when you pull them. You can also paint them if you like HTH?

Thanks they look good, i think i would want to paint them as i only really want to do the one nail and it might look odd if i didn't iyswim....Plus i haven't been able to paint my toenails for years because of this so it would be so nice to do so...:D

I have a good bit of nail left so it should work....

Don't like the price but if it means i can be comfortable about baring my toes then it may be a price worth paying...:(

Does anyone know if you can get a false nail for a finger, if a fingernail doesn't grow back?
