My first time and I am very nervous!

Well I have now taken the next step and cancelled the credit cards so I am not tempted to spend on them if and when they send new ones. I have also been making more of an effort to use as little energy as possible, ie. turning everything off at the plugs etc. Am also going to look into energy saving light bulbs. I have also cancelled the gym and my additions account so that is a saving of £36.50 per month.
Here is my new monthly expenditure:
Rent - £410
Gas - £50 (only during winter months)
Electric - £30
NTL - £55 (am looking into new packages)
Mobile - £35 (am thinking of going on pay as you talk when contract ends!!)
Messaging website - £7
Food - £100
Mum - £200
Loan - £271.60
ISA - £50 (am saving this so I can pay off loan earlier)
Misc. - £300 (after doing budget this is things like xmas, birthdays etc.)
TOTAL - £1508.60
If anyone can help with anymore savings or ideas then I would be very grateful. I am doing my best but am sure there are MANY ways I can improve.LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Well a new year a new start and all that. I have come ot the realisation that I need to make sure that I take my lunch to work and no money as I tend to spend far too easily!! I have also been trying to sell more on ebay but I have also been buying stuff on there so it's not good. I know where my problems lie and I must issue some kind of self control so my debt doesn't esculate out of control. I am always up to hear any kind of saving ideas so please feel free to reply.LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

Since my 1st posting my monthly spend has been reduced by £70 but cutting out on things that I didn't really need. Plus I have started to save more so that I don't have to pay for Christmas, birthdays etc in 1 big go. :j
I am not too sure what else I can do to cut back anymore so all suggestions are very welcome.LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09
