Because by virtue of the role - many truck drivers are overweight and I can state that as fact as I did the job for over 25 years.

Fortunately, I managed to lose my excessive weight.

If you are overweight - that increases the risk of heart disease/HBP and diabetes - that cannot be disputed.

Lugging heavy pallets around when overweight and/or unfit will likely put the heart under more pressure.

Overweight people have also an increased risk of Cancer - that is also a fact.

And here is another fact in respect of skin cancer.

It is a common joke that many drivers have one brown arm due to being exposed to the sun on one side of their body.

I actually had a cancerous growth removed from my right ear almost certainly caused (according to my consultant) by exposure to the sun on that side of my face over many years.

Fortunately it was not invasive - but a warning nonetheless.

    Cream up you truckers!
I am not disputing that being a truck driver will increase your chances of being overweight(although it can be controlled by adjusting diet: I don't accept any excuse for not eating healthy when you know you are likely to be sedentary for most of the day)
but I asked why lugging around pallets while being fat will cause all those diseases. You only came up with increased pressure on the heart but is it not likely that if they are moving around heavy weights they could also actually be training up their body to be able to handle such exertions?

Have you thought about writing "model essays" for any of the online sites that offer this kind of service. You could do this from home in your own time?

...or shall we phrase that differently, ie "Help students to cheat and get a better qualification than they deserve".

Presumably, too, you might have some useful pointers for O.P. as to how "live with themselves" (ie their conscience) if they were to do this?

Good luck with the weight loss. I agree that you need to see someone about a diet plan for you. Someone at your weight can not just drop to 1200-1500 calories a day as you WON'T lose weight. Your body will go into starvation mode and will cling on to the fat resources you have built up. It will be better to drop your calories slightly, up your exercise and as time goes on drop your calories again and increase the exercise again.

You have a plan now, this will help your depression as you are in control again.
