Hi everyone

We're very aware from past discussion threads that issues surrounding the collapse of the DGM affiliate network and the non-payment of cashback is still an issue that people feel needs discussion. We're entirely happy for people to discuss it provided it doesn't prevent other forum users getting the answers they need to their other queries. In the past this has often clogged up other threads with pages of posts and has disrupted the question and answer format for other users.

So we're going to start things from scratch, with a clean slate, with two separate discussion threads, one for DGM discussion (this one), one for Quidco Questions and Answers.

Please remember though, while you may, quite understandably, be frustrated about the issue, libellous posts including any implication of fraud, lying, cheating won't be tolerated on this forum. Where they're reported to us they'll be removed and we will stop user accounts that keep pushing acceptable boundaries as we are liable.

Any posts made about DGM on the Quidco Question and Answers thread or any other threads will also be removed when reported and if persistent will result in further action on that user account.

Quidco may post on this thread to answer queries if it wishes. Please note, though, that the Quidco company representative is not obliged to answer any questions on here so please don't become irate if they adopt this line – it's purely for group discussion. Please help us with this.

Finally a reminder that MSE has no special relationship with Quidco. It's simply included in our Cashback Sites guide along with other cashback sites so we take comments to the contrary very seriously.

Thanks

Can the title be changed to Quidco DGM Discussion Thread??

The reason for this is that the issues concern Quidco who still haven't paid out despite their management risk. Other cashback sites, including Quidco's main rival Topcashback, did honour payments to members. Topcashback also honoured this despite NOT charging their members a fee and actually also paying slightly more at 101%.
1000's pounds have been lost (until paid) and Quidco are probably hoping it will just fade away??

Agreed. This topic seems relevent only to Quidco. As it stands the thread title implies this topic is for every cashback site, which is not the case.

    Incidentally, does this paragraph,

apply to everyone? That is to say, if the Quidco rep implies that a Quidco member is lieing in order to obtain cashback etc., etc. that the Quidco rep's account will be restricted? Or does this just apply to we grunts?
  • Many of you are already, and have previously, discussed what other cashback sites did, so the title of this thread seems better as a universal discussion. Infact a huge number of posts in the other thread were at pains to point out what others did. If we directed it just at Quidco, would you rather us then remove any instance when you inform our users what happened with other places, or indeed offer alternates?

It's an issue that affected more than one cashback site, and we're not trying to set up a thread where the title narrows the discussion field. It's a universal discussion of what has and is happening, and the title should reflect that. I hope that makes sense.

In regard to the other comment, the rules are universal on this thread and the forum. No one should be making accusations of lying or otherwise unless they have cold, hard proof. The rep should be allowed to post fair comment, but please report any instance of unfair accusation to us. That said, any baiting will also not be tolerated.

Let's be frank here, you know we are aware of what's going on, and we're trying to be fair to all. If everyone acts like an adult, we shouldn't have too much of an issue. Disagreement is fine, but we're not stupid - we can see what people are up to on all sides and will take measures to stop it if we deem it to be counterproductive.

We've tried to do the right thing here for you all, please respect that and the fact that this forum requires a huge amount of work, and is liable for all comments made. This issue is one of hundreds, if not thousands, and every person feels theirs is the most important. We don't have time to keep revisiting spats and fall outs on the same issues over and over again.

That said, this IS an important issue, hence why we made you all aware we'd seen your concerns, we discussed it internally, and we've taken action. Please help us keep this thread up by EVERYONE (all sides) acting in a responsible manner.

This thread didn't really take off then? :-)

I'm still waiting on my £25 Engage Mutual Assurance cash back from 16 Jun 10.

Also still waiting almost 2 years later for some sort of finalizing response from Quidco, again from June 2010, ref this DGM administration issue. Would have thought it would be sorted by now perhaps with a small payout.

Is there any news on the cashback, I have £60 outstanding from Orange mobile broadband not paid that dates back to August 2009...

Wrote to Quidco for an update this week on DGM deals, and they say it is still not finalized two years on, but are not anticipating getting any money back from the administrator.

If that is the case, Quidco who have paid out themselves to cover about half the members losses, have to decide if they are to fund the other half of the members still waiting. This would demonstrate across the board fairness to all members.

TopCashback did pay all its members who would otherwise have lost out.

This thread (or apology for a thread) seems to be an MSE attempt to sweep away the fact that they spent many years recommending Quidco - and still do.

Shame on you - it's not acting in anyone's interests except MSE.

Has anyone heard anything on the administrators RMS Tenon and the payment of creditors?
