Bad service when changing Mortgage lender

Hi & apologies if this is not the right place for this query.
My partner & I have been paying our Mortgage with the Halifax on the standard rate but decided to switch to a fixed rate with a slightly lower interest rate offered by Lloyds bank. There was a £900 arrangement fee which we paid up front.
The mortage was supposed to start at the beginning of May... but there has been a series of errors (lost paperwork, misprints on documentation, etc). So we wrote saying we were not happy with the service and that we expected the mortgage deal to run for 2 years from when we started paying it.
We have been told that the mortgage deal will still run from May - so at current point in time we are loosing 2 month's worth (& if the FUs continue potentially more) of lower interest rate. As we do not feel that this is fair given the cost of the admin fee & the fact it is their errors that have caused this delay we are wondering if there is any financial body we could raise these issues with.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Put your complaint in writing to LLoyds TSB first and ask for redress for the extra interest paid because they made the mistakes0
