Amazon Storefront Question

Hi,
A couple of days ago i saw a very good bargain for an item i wanted to buy. I bought the item recieved the first email stating that i had bought the product. This initial email has the correct model number that i have ordered in it.
This email had the following quote at the bottom.
"Please note that for items ordered from Amazon this e-mail is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order and your contract to purchase these items is not complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the items have been dispatched to you. For items purchased from third parties in Marketplace, your contract to purchase these items is not complete until you receive an e-mail notifying you that the item has been dispatched."
I then recieved the email confirming it had been shipped which also has the correct model number of the product i had ordered.
When i recieved the item it was the wrong item and model, but also on the invoice which was only included on the package itself was the model number of the incorrect item. I have notified them of the mistake and am awaiting a response.
If there has been some sort of mix up at their despatch site thats fine, but what are my right if the try to say "sorry wrong price, only a refund". I was under the impression that as i have the dispatch email as per the initial email it is now a legally binding contract for them to supply the item at the agreed price?

Hi, I have been told by the seller that a small section specifies the model number which was delivered even though all of the other information on the page ie header, manufacturers description, reviews state the model number that i thought i was ordering.
Can any one help on this?0 -
You don't say if this was from Amazon or one of their third party Market Place sellers.
But either way if they didn't send what you ordered then you should return it and they either refund the purchase price, or send out the correct item.
You cannot insist they honour the price for the correct item if they don't have it.0
