  • Hi all
I received a 6p off per litre petrol voucher off my wife from morrisons after shopping there.
I called in to get petrol today only to be told that I had also to have the original shopping receipt.
As our shopping for the family is substantial the receipts are some 0.5m long. Am I likely to carry that around in my wallet?
The petrol kiosk attendant appologised but said that they had been told that it did say on the voucher and on the advertising that the receipt was required. She also said that they had had several irate customers with the same complaint that day. My view is that this is not good enough and suggest that the checkout person should clearly state the requirements.
So unfortunately I had to pay the full price!! Aaargh!!!

Also happened to us, hubby just came back from petrol station and said receipt required. Unfortunately binned it yesterday so a total waste of time.

As a friend of a Morrison's cashier, I know that he always informs customers of the itemised receipt stipulation of the voucher, and I would suggest that you speak to your store's Customer Services about the problem, it is stated on the voucher and adverts, but you may as well try to get it noted somewhere that it would benefit the company to insist their cashiers do this!
