Couple of questions

  • I started in the middle of April this year and have been entering about 50 a day.My only win is a pair of football tickets in a comp when 100 pairs were up for grabs so the odds on winning that comp must have been quite good.I've spent 1.5 to 2 hours a day entering.

I think it is fair to say the majority of us enter because it's our hobby, we enjoy entering and a win is just a nice bonus. With comping there are no guarantees to win, you could enter 6000 a month and win nothing (which does happen to all of us now and then) and some will enter a few and have a few wins. I guess it comes down to whether you are lucky or not, isn't the saying your either lucky in love or lucky in cards?

I would suggest you read the comping guide which is a sticky thread on this board, that will answer all your questions.

I enter well over 100 a day including all the daily comps listed in the regular thread. I've won loads with those, 3 with what on tv in just 5 weeks so you definitely need to be entering lots more but that's not to say you won't get lucky & have a big win as I recently was lucky enough to win an amazing holiday to Kenya with the Daily Mail but the Mirror & OK magazine also ran the same comp & the people that won those had never entered a comp in their lives before so it was beginner's luck. I spend a few hours a day doing my comps but it makes it worthwhile when I win a prize or hear from a fellow MSEer who has won from one of my posts.

I usually enter about 60 a day depending on time and ROBOFORM free version saved my life! When I first started it took me a good 3 weeks before my first win and that was only a set of books - but over 2 years I have been to premiers in Leiscester Sq, family holiday, My son was a mascot at the FA cup and posh hotel stays in London + lots lots more... anyone thats got me as a friend on facebook can see my WINS album... If you persevere you WILL be rewarded.
Its Still LUCK at the end of the day, but with ur chances increased the more u enter.
If you find it too much I am currently entering all the ones ending for the next day during the week and most weekends off.
BACK and READY..... waiting on Royal Mail!!!

Ive been very lucky so far, ive had an xbox 360, acer aspire laptop, lots of dr who stuff, a family camping starter set, a couple of DVD's, £25 of sweets in a jar plus other bits and pieces.
The comping fairy will turn up to you at some point she just likes to keep you in suspense on what shes going to give you.

I probably spend far too many hours comping, but I don't watch much TV so instead of sitting staring at the TV on a night I comp. The more you enter, the better the chance you have of winning really.

I do the daily comps, then do comps by date ending as well as any comps on facebook and twitter.

I have won 10 prizes this month already, but I entered a lot of comps over the last few months.

    Good luck

In the competition section I change the list so it goes in date order rather than date posted. Where it says 'see things differently' underneath it says 'Thread/Thread Starter'. I click on Thread and it changes it to date order so the list will change to 01/07 and I just move forward by pages until I find the date I want and start entering the comps from that date, so tonight I will be working on the comps listed 08/06 as they finish tomorrow, if I get them done I will move onto the 9th.

Hope that makes sense, I think other people may do it differently but that is the way I have always done it.

I enter a lot, and generally win something every other day or so, my biggie last month was a washing machine, but I have only had three wins so far this month.
