Are you putting full names (including surnames)
Or are you just putting…. Sam W
We have a couple of people with the same first names you see- put on the place cards we have put their surnames
Also on the top table are you putting bride and groom or your names?

im not having a table plan, but all the ones ive seen have surnames on,
it takes away all chances of a mistake with same names / initials etc
i would probably have our first names instead of bride and groom because then you can put your bridal parties names too instead of "mother of the bride" and things that might be a bit long for the space you have to write in!0 -
All the weddings I've been to have had both first and surname. The number of times I've been given OH's surname as the B&G obviously haven't known mine.
It means you need to know the names of everyone's plus ones and partners, including which surname they take

Hi Sammy,
I wrote mine this week. I did first names and surnames as we have a lot of Margarets and Johns! I also did our names rather than Bride and Groom purely for the pleasure of writing my new name!

So long as you dont have two Katie Gs and Brian Xs. On my planner we put surnames but we bunched couples and childresn together eg. Charles and Jane Wotsit.
I didnt think about what to put for Hubby and me as the planner was done by a sister the day before the wedding and I didnt notice but she did put me with my new surname which I thought was brill as it was the first use of it.0 -
