Need to earn some extra cash

Hi all
I am currently on maternity leave looking after my near 16-week old baby boy. I am due to go back to work at the end of October, although I will be looking nearer the time at changing my current employer as I do not wish to go back - I was the victim of bullying prior to me becoming pregnant.
I really would like to earn some extra cash before and possibly even after returning to work but I just don't know what to do.
I have thought about Avon in the past but I know that it's hard to actually earn much through this. I think I'd be quite happy to go walking to deliver things i.e. leaflets, magazines etc as it would get me and the little one out of the house but again, I don't know if there's much money that can be made through this.
I have also looked into being a virtual assistant as my job is a Medical Secretary and I am very speedy when it comes to typing but, after approaching a few companies, it seems that I am possibly not qualified enough to do this - I have 8 years experience in this role.

Has anyone got any ideas as to how I might be able to earn some extra cash at all please?
If any more information is needed at all, i.e. about my hobbies, interests etc to help, then please let me know.

Thanks, Natalie x

If you want to find out more about Avon - check out the avon hints & tips thread, the first post covers the most common questions, but if you have any other questions just ask. Lots of other companies have their own threads on here to, mostly unbiased info as they comment on the bad as well as the good things!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

Party plan? Body Shop at Home is the one I have found the cheapest to run and I actually do earn money through it but there are loads out there to try - if it is of interest to you I would pick one whose products you like :) Most party plan companies provide incentives whereby you can earn free products as well as commission so it's nice to win goodies that you will enjoy using yourself :)
    Good luck :)

    Hiya

Hope motherhood is going well and you are getting some sleep ;-)

I have done avon etc and am now do a new product called Scentsy as well - Scentsy is a wickless candle and warmer and is a huge product in the US. It was released into the UK a month ago...and there are only 3 reps in NI so far....this means its a great chance to make good money and build a team etc for the future.

I dont think i can post a link to it but we are on facebook at It makes Scents - uk and european independent consultant....or you can PM for details.

You can certainly do this product by delivering catalogues etc but also sell it at fairs, work etc - we are loving the savings we make on Yankee candles with this system and the fact it is safe around the children.

    Good luck whatever you choose.

    all the best
    Alexandra
