emails with 'no reply' addresses grrr

  • Probably because most companies use an external e-mail service to deliver marketing and automated e-mails, not one of their employee's actual e-mail addresses. Sending out thousands of e-mails from the kind of system that most companies use to deliver mail to individual employees (even big companies) simply isn't possible, so they use services which can handle the volume and are also set up to automatically deal with those who want to unsubscribe, incorrect e-mail addresses etc. I would be astonished if these considerations were taking precedence over any attempt to make it difficult for you to contact them - it may seem that way but it's probably just a matter of practicality.
