Have agreed with Halifax!

Have agreed with Halifax to refund almost all my charges (£3000) so feeling happy today.

Thank you to this site for the info and support. Looking forward to 2007 - although a long way still to go!

Have a good day everyone. We WILL get there.

In hindsight, perhaps I should have held out, but just thought that a really positive start to 2007 would be a fantastic boost. To think that a month ago I had written off the whole lot in my mind, means that a big difference has been made.

Will now be taking similar action with Barclays and the credit cards. Now I have the reassurance that I have succeeded with one, I have more confidence to go for the rest.

The cash will completely pay off my Egg card which is £2800 so another debt gone for ever. As I say, a good start to the year!

Word of warning about Barclays - as soon as you claim for 3 figure sums or more they seem to take it all the way. My claim is only for £341 but its going all the way to court. Started the claim in May & the Court Date is in March next year & Barclays wait until that last day before every deadline before doing anything to drag it out as much as possible.

That is why I thought I would go for Halifax first!! It seemed from the forums here to be the better and less stressful option!

It has given me the confidence, however, to press on. What, realistically, have I got to lose!

    Thanks for the advice!

I think ppi mis-selling is a different kettle of fish entirely. Could be wrong though.
