Horrified at monthly budget - Help required

Hi - this is my first post and I do hope anyone of you can help.
I have recently started using this site and tonight filled in the budget calculator & had a big wakeup call!
We are a family of 6 (Myself, husband and 4 children ages between 5 and 10)
Taking all expenditure into consideration other than groceries/household items, I have calculated I need to keep below £100 per week. This includes loo roll, cleaning stuff.
I am looking for ideas for cheap nutritious meals for my family which I can turn into a weekly/fortnightly meal plan.
Any ideas much appreciated!:)

    Hello Jenny,

You could start with this, which is delicious and easy, and which some lovely MSE folks have already set up: www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk.

Also go the coupon thread where you could save loads on your groceries by using money off coupons. Also remember if you shop in Tescos or Asda to input your receipt details on to tesco pricechecker and asda price guarantee in case you can get money back.

Look on the Old Style subforum.

I've started really budgetting and recently have been able to complete a food shop for £89 for four of us (2adults, a toddler and a baby), but did my food shop this week and it hit £130.
I seem to have lost a lot of my motivation for cooking and and although I desperately want to bring my costs down, I've just lost all ooomph!

My food budget including toilettries, cleaning products, nappies etc is now £360.

    I just need a little inspiration from you guru's :A pleeeeaaaasssseeee!x
