  • The brother lot are very good prices, are you sure that the colour one is £5.99? Cartridges in my experience are normally about £11-18 each.

    Happy New Year...
I have just bought the HP Photo smart for £38.00 with voucher code from PC world on line - but wish I had more knowlage of Quidco before I payed!!!

I have just been looking at ink prices - @ W2W it is £12.39 for the black and £12.99 for the colour = £25.38 with free postage.

Can anyone fill me in on Quidco, please! I see it is ...% off but how does it work...

I can recomend the printer, it is working well.

If I have got it right - anyone!

Ink is extortionate at PCW.. The printer is a good price but the consumables will be a rip off.

I get my ink from Novatech (for originals, compats i tend to avoid). Ebuyer will probably quite cheap too.

    Black (336) 12.33
    Black High Capacity (338) 13.28
    Colour (342) 12.33
    Colour High Capacity (343) 15.90

I bought one of these printers last week and its excellent. Very impressed.
  • I've always had HP printers and found them to be excellent but with expensive cartridges.

I bought a Brother DCP 117C last year and cannot believe how cheap I can get cartridges for - full set for £12 in my local computer consumables shop.

I have even found that by drilling out the air hole on the top of each cart to about 1.5 mm., I can just refill them in situ. Unbelievably simple - just draw the ink from the bottle into the supplied syringe and squirt it into the cartridge whilst still in the printer. All done courtesy of a £4 reduced 'Rainbow' pack from Tesco!

So this is a good price for the HP (thanks OP) but I'd recommend the Brother every time.

I bought one of these printers last week and after using it a fair bit since then, i give it the thumbs up! Easy to use, fast, and a real bargain compared to what I paid for the my last HP printer 8 years ago!

I bought mine in Tescos £39,96, as I had a voucher for extra points, which im collecting for my next holiday!
