Yet another Tesco glitch - gardening gloves!

This is my first grabbit so I hope I'm doing this right!
Went to Tesco and noticed the unisex gardening gloves (barcode 5052003884144) had a sel saying 40p. Went through self serve and they scanned at £1.60! Took them to cs and got dtd back (so £2.40 refunded to my card) so basically got the gloves for free and they paid me 80p to take them away!
Thanks Mr T! :j

This is a follow-on from the earlier reported Tesco mega-glitch on gardening things. I now know what the glitch is. Apologies if this has already been posted but cannot find it so here is was seems to have happened. We have two large tescos within about 3 miles of us. Today I stocked up on items in the nearest one as the glitch is still going there e.g. basket liners 40p, tesco path week killer 45p, gloves 40p and so on. Later we went to the other branch and noted that the glitch had been fixed and the previously heavily reduced items were only showing a 20% reduction. Then realised that the advertised reductions in this branch were the actual sale prices in the first branch we visited. So somewhere along the line the amount saved by the reduction and the actual sale prices have been reversed. In the case of the gloves, in the second branch, the SEL read "was £2, save 40p (or 20%) now only £1.60" In the branches where the glitch has not been fixed the computer system is reading the pricing instruction as "was £2, save £1.60 (or 80%), now only 40p". This seems to hold good for all the gabbit items I came across. Cannot figure out why the glitch was not fixed nationwide via their network or maybe each branch has to manually insert pricing changes? Great while it lasted (and was still going at 9 p.m. tonight):T0
