Heating 8' intex pool on the cheap

Hi Folks,
Apologies if this is the wrong place to put this thread.
We have a 8' intex pool which we bought for a bargain price at Netto last year. It's one of those with a filter/pump so you can keep it up all "summer".
Anyway, the water is very cold, and I think because it's so deep, it never seems to get warm, so I was after some idea's on how to heat it up. I know you can get heaters but these are about £60, another alternative is a bubblewrap type cover, not sure how good these are ?.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions i'd be very happy to hear them.
Thanks in advance.

A cover will not heat the pool but it will help keep the heat in after the pool has been heated in some other way. Some years ago one of my old bosses used to heat the water in his pool by circulating it through plastic pipes laid on the grass in the sun. It was surprisingly effective. Not sure that this would be the answer for you. He had a large pool and plenty of ground around it. If you lay a length of garden hose filled with water in the sun it does get warm quite quickly.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
