Sorry to hijack the thread a little OP, but wondering if anyone can answer this for me...

Is it possible to link a family relatives savings to your offset mortgage? With their agreement of course!

Specifically looking at RBS product which says you can link 3 instant access savings accounts to it.
My partner has mortgage of, say, £100k with RBS. His mother has £100k savings with RBS.
Is this allowed or would the savings have to be in his name?

It has to be the RBS product due to work circumstances.
The RBS website says the offset mortgage can be linked to up to 3 instant access savings accounts so hopefully this might work.

Will give them a call.
