What's the best Christmas eve Supermarket Sweep bargain strategy?

oh wow, I never even thought of doing this, just envisgaed some sort of mad panic and tried to avoid it in the past, but might give it a go this year!!

I have been in my local store on christmas eve before - not recently thought.

They had a deliberate policy of not reducing anything - miserable so and so's would rather throw the stuff in the skip than let us poor bargain hunters get a good deal.

They may have reduced things in the last 15 minutes but I could not hang around that long so missed out on any bargains they had to offer.

Picked up a leaflet about Christmas opening hours from my local Tesco Extra. The critical times for major bargain hunting are:

Both Christmas Eve and New Years Eve:

Store open 10am to 4pm

I would assume from the comments above that it would be best to go at around 3pm for the best chance of bargains.

Its going to be great working this christmas eve - as I do only 4hours on a sunday - wooo

Best time to come in store would be about 230pm to 3pm - As ASDA is closed for 2 days so we will have stock to sell off cheapo !
