Let down by wedding photographer

Hi,

I wonder if you someone can recommend a wedding photographer?

Me and my fiance had a wedding photographer booked but he has let us down, long story short, we went to my best friends wedding where he was taking photographs and he got really drunk, took hardly any photos and had to have a cab take him home so Id rather not risk having him at our wedding. Especially as our wedding is under 6 weeks to go.

Our wedding is in Coulsdon.

Thanks
Sam

What a nightmare! At least you've had a lucky escape, hopefully you will be able to find someone much more reliable!

I can recommend Neil Hanson. He is very talented and very easy to get on with. He is based in Oxfordshire but may be willing to travel, and depending on what kind of package you want, he should be under your budget. May be worth seeing if he is available.

Did you sign a contract or pay a deposit to the original photographer. If so,I'd be careful as his behaviour was obviously unacceptable but you need to check out your grounds for cancelling him especially if you need a deposit back.I'm a member of a UK wide wedding photographers forum so let me know if you want to appeal for a photographer.
Just to clarify that what i'm referring to is a means by which you could source available photographers and then check them out through meeting, seeing albums etc

this website site is diffinately worth a look however I would recommend getting recommendations from a least two couples and ask to see a complete set of photos from at least one wedding. If your really sprap for cash then consider asking a photography student to take the photos
