    Just pack a picnic and drive. The areas around Lochinver/Scourie is just incredible. No human beings for miles and nothing but herds of deer on the road. Just explore the landscape and find a secluded beach to eat.

    And this is what I love about living up here - look at all those wonderful suggestions for just a glimpse at a tiny area of this amazing country... how lucky are we to live here :D I am west coast so too low to suggest anything for your travels, but next time you come this way shout :)
