the way I see it is that there are 2 visions of a bride...

The one here groom has of frilly undies... suspenders...garter ....lacy bra...stockings...g string..etc etc

and then theres the brides view...suck in pants ..spandex and a strapless seemless bra...to create the best flow of the dress....etc etc

What you probably need to do is stick to the practical suff on the day and save the other for the honeymoon....
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

I got a garter from ebay, the seller was sewingneedlethread and she makes personalised ones. I got one that had blue on it along with our wedding date and my married name, for £9.99.

Was also comfortable, not scratchy and seems great. Mind you I haven't worn it properly yet just faffing about the house to try it so it could get a little scratchy after a full day of wearing.
    carpe diem

    you beat me to it!
i was just going to say that people (husband to be) like to imagine you have the white bridal underwear on, ie basque, suspenders, stockings, garter etc
but as we all know its all about the bridgets and being as streamlined as possible and comfortable.

I will be wearing frankly enormous knickers, a repulsive thing that resembles a full on spandexy sausage skin, a bra and a garter,
ive told him im willing to put on any sexy underwear he wants on the day but only after that dress has come off however **TMI warning** i know him too well, i wont get the chance to change :D

he isn't going to see till the evening anyway.
no way for me - its bridgets which are not too tight - as i'm sure wearing a massive dress with no freedom of movement all day is going to be uncomfortable enough!

sneak away a few minutes before him at the end of the evening?

also my dress fitter told me if i wore a boned basque the bones would be in different places from my dress and would look unsightly

I got one to match my underwear (which wasn't terribly MSE as Mum insisted on buying me posh undies but the garter wasn't that much IIRC, maybe £10-£15) and since it was made of the same soft cotton and lace as the underwear it wasn't at all scratchy and I forgot I was wearing it. Some colleagues bought me a cheap one as a joke and I had to take it off after an hour or so of wearing it as the horrid stiff lace was really itchy!

You've also got to think about it being visible under your dress, if it's quite a slim fitting one you could end up with an odd bulge! ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
