    I thought it was a tad weird, then realised it's BOGOF on salad items. Not just the cucumber.

    yes its also on some lettuces, spring onions and radish i think.

    I have been buying them and have been fine :o) might be pushing my luck tho as I eat nearly a cucumber a day at the moment on the diet!!! lol

    I think there will be lots of offers on fruit and salad soon because the supermarkets wont be able to sell it.

    I think the majority of our salad stuff is all english at the moment as its all in season now. I know the salad onions, tomatoes and lettuce Ive been getting have all been english. I have always washed all my fruit and veg before eating anyway, if you do this there should be no risk anyway. But as the Op said, yeah it is pretty funny that they've now put it all on BOGOF.
