!far too much hassle and mis sold products as far as im concerned

They quoted you for a years insurance which you accepted and then opted to pay for over 12 months.
What was it that they mis-sold you?

mis-sold is a word being overused and banded about when anyone has a discrepancy over something.
because you were unaware of how the monthly payments were setup, doesnt mean its mis-sold.

I'm beginning to think I was mis-sold 2 pints earlier in the pub.
I went in, ordered 5 pints and asked the barman to line them up on the bar for me. Then I said I'd pay him for them as I drank them, which he said was ok. About a hour later, after drinking 3 pints I told the barman I didn't want the other 2 pints as I had had enough, to which he replied "you'll have to pay for the ones you made me pour but didn't drink". I said I wasn't going to, and after a short heated discussion I said that I was going to tell all my friends that this was a bad pub to drink in, the staff all have attitudes and that I wouldn't be frequenting his establishment again. To which he said he would tell the landlords of all the other pubs that I was the kind of person who didn't pay my dues so they wouldn't serve me when I went out for a drink. And to top it off, surprise surprise, he barred me.

    Sound familiar?

It wasn't mis-sold, you just didn't read the small print. Surely you had some sort of credit agreement paperwork along with your insurance papers? I know the last time I bought insurance like that (a long time ago) that I did.

That's why car insurance quotes leave searches on your credit record and you can be quoted a higher rate of interest depending on what they find.

I think this thread is a classic example of OP displaying clear mis-use of the term mis-sold.

Mis sold isn't the same as 'I made a mistake and now want to squirm my way out of it'.

anyone got mis sold a wife?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
