I don't have any wedding stuff to do today so have started to think who I need to tell that I am taking OHs surname. Does anyone have a list as mine doesn't seem very long?
I hope everyone elses plans are coming along nicely x

ok...this may sound a little dense,
I have never had a passport before but we are hoping to go abroad for our honeymoon, so what happens RE: Passports?
do you go in your maiden name or do you have to wait for a new one with your married name to come through ?0 -
itsjojustjo--
you have to travel in the name you booked the hol in--- so if you book in your married name then your passport has to be in you married name-- and this can be done 3 months before you get married-- so your vicar/registar will sign the form stating you are getting married on such a date- and if you dont then they will let passport control no
if you book in your maiden name then your passport has to match
hope that helpsIs a married woman!! 23rd July 2011 Best day of my life!

Or if you don't want the hassle and don't mind being Miss/Ms just for their benefit there's no problem at all with still using maiden name. The only thing is passport and ticket names must match.
First time I got married you could book in married name and just take marriage certificate to show...they've tightened up more these days!0 -
yep, that clears it up a great deal :-D0
