ok...this may sound a little dense,
I have never had a passport before but we are hoping to go abroad for our honeymoon, so what happens RE: Passports?
do you go in your maiden name or do you have to wait for a new one with your married name to come through ?

    itsjojustjo--
you have to travel in the name you booked the hol in--- so if you book in your married name then your passport has to be in you married name-- and this can be done 3 months before you get married-- so your vicar/registar will sign the form stating you are getting married on such a date- and if you dont then they will let passport control no
if you book in your maiden name then your passport has to match

    hope that helps

Or if you don't want the hassle and don't mind being Miss/Ms just for their benefit there's no problem at all with still using maiden name. The only thing is passport and ticket names must match.
First time I got married you could book in married name and just take marriage certificate to show...they've tightened up more these days!
