Cheap outwell montana 6 tent

hi all have been looking for a tent for ages and finally bought a vango airbeam last week, however you always keep looking just in case you miss a bargain and i might have found one.
go outdoors do the montana 6 for £499.99 and if you get there card for a fiver and print off 20% voucher you can get it for £399.99 very cheap for this tent, however they do a price match plus 10% off if you can find it anywhere even on the internet cheaper, so i did a bit of trawling and found JR CAMPING/LEISURE do the same tent for £449.99, so if you go and get it price matched, and get the 10% off as well it comes to £405, next step is to get your tent and go to the till pay £5 for your discount card, and, armed with your 20% off voucher it should all cost £329 which would be a fantastic result for a mammouth tent.
OFFER ENDS 4.30 TODAY THOUGH!!!

I dont do the pay £5 discount card thing. You get to the till and they try to charge you a seperate price to what is on the ticket unless you give them £5 ? Its a scam and the goods they sell are all overpriced to start with

agree with the £5 thing not good but if ya save £70 isnt it worth it???? and there are not many other places that price match, to be honest the £5 card thing has saved me quite a bit even after trawling through the internet....each to their own though.I dont do the pay £5 discount card thing. Not a scam just their way of keeping customers - managed to save quite a bit shopping here and still a lot cheaper than the Internet. So no not a scam - END OF STORY!!0 -
It's not a scam but it is a off putting hassle. I have been in there and after looking for walking boots but not finding what I wanted I would find other cheaper stuff and not buy it because of the £5 charge to shop there. They are loosing sales from me because of the pointless discount card.0

i suppose it's how often you go.
we go a lot as we walk and camp,my mother does also so we get more than our money's worth.0 -
I dont like the fact the price on the ticket is not what you pay, they charge you extra if you dont buy the card.
I walked out, I wont be conned like that, and I went elsewhere and saved over £140 on the exact same product .
Even small things like a water pump for the caravan Go out doors £39.99 WITH THE CARD
Other local suppliers £25.99, same product same brand, no silly card.
They are extortionate on price I think people get fooled with the old card thing.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I take it you don't go very often then. The price with and without the card is clearly on every single price tag - there's no mystery to it and there's no scam.
We've bought plenty of stuff there and it's been cheaper than buying online or any other high street store. We've also bought stuff at our local camping shop as they've been cheaper on certain stuff. But that's the same with all shops - for some things they're cheaper for others they're not.0 -
Would anyone shop there less if they ditched the "Discount" card?.0

It's the price of a large coffee for pity's sake.....surely you have more important things to get worked up about?0
