Right just got off the phone from game. They are telling me that they are still waiting for the full mailing list from the mirror... wait a minute... isnt the mirror telling us that they have sent the mailing list and are now RE-SENDING names???? talk bout going round in circles - APPARENTLY half the list has been sent and some prizes despatched... odd how noone from here has received anything and only one person has had a call.

I have also just gotten off of the phone with the mirror. The guy said the same thing that Game had promised that they had sent everything out last week. He said he had spoken to them and they now promise that everything will be sent out by the end of the week. The guy that i spoke to took my details and gave me his number to chase this up. 0207 2833370 ben ward


I'm also going to chase million 21 to see what they say about this.

I managed to get through to Game on the phone around 2pm today "We apologise for the lateness in getting these prizes out to the winners, there has been a hold up in getting all the details from the winners to send out the prizes" I said that well that's funny, on the MSE website which includes myself, many winners have not even been contacted by yourself, the Mirror or Million21....was put on hold for 10 mins........she came back..."I've just spoken to the relevant department, they are still awaiting for some winners details to be passed on which we hope will be sent today for the dispatch of the prizes, so 'hopefully' you will get them by the end of the week, or by early next week"....

Anyone who has seen the Catherine Tate show "What a F(*£ing liberty"!!!!!

I'm inclined to get a letter sent, but I'm not too up to speed on the rules when a competition is run. Do they have a certain amount of time to send out the prizes? As on this Monday (15th) it will be 30 days since the close of the comp.

Any ideas?

perhaps we should just walk into Game and claim the correct amount of prizes won just show them the text messages we have received confirming the win!

Got this email from game today - an im not sure why, ive already had one email from them =S :

In regards to your query, I apologise for the delay in dispatching your prize to you. Unfortunately there has been a delay on the Mirror’s part of supplying us with the necessary data to dispatch the prizes. However, the prizes are now being dispatched today and tomorrow so you should hopefully receive yours in the next few days. If you do not receive it by the middle of next week please call our customer services department on the telephone number below.

As for rules - they said prizes would be sent out within 7-14 days, but technically if they can provide proof the prizes are being sorted and sent they can wait til next year to finally despatch them an still be on the right side of the law. Competition laws are very slack. Look at those scratch cards you get in the paper that always win! The prizes you get are naff... the phone calls are sky high premium rate and the companies tend to dissapear from existence an new ones surface all the time. Or TV call in programs... your chances of getting on average in their hunderds of thousands to 1 per phone call (think about it 70 million+ population, theres gonna be a hell of alot of peolpe watching this thinking they have a chance - i was one of them) then you gotta guess a seemingly easy puzzle with insane answer which 9 times out of 10 is wrong - an no yur probs not gonna get through again lol. Technically they havent done anything wrong yet.

Maybe we should start speaking to a rival newspaper and when they start to follow up the story of the mirror and game ripping people off someone might pull their finger out lol
