Getting a mortgage whilst temping

A friend of mine's mortgage deal is up and she wants a new deal, only thing is that she is currently temping and doesnt have a permanent job. Will this limit her choice of mortgage provider?

I am a temp and in the process of arranging a mortgage.

Basically some lenders don't like it, but there are several who will still be willing to lend. Examples include BOS, Halifax, Nationwide, Alliance & Leicester, Portman.

Perhaps best to use a mortgage broker to get the best possible deal.

What the lender will want to see is consistency of employment and the longer they have worked at a particular company the better. They will want to see employment for at least the previous 3 months, prob more like 6. And they may want to see evidence of future work for next 3-6mths.

It will also depend on the loan to value. I am applying for 75% loan to value which means that they are not even going to verify my income at all!
