Fathers Day Offer - dads and grandads go free

Hi, I am a volunteer at the museum and wanted to tell all the money saving folks that visit the site about a great offer for Fathers Day.

Normal adult entry is £6.50 and remember children under 12 get free entry so this is a great saving for the family.

Fathers Day Sunday 19th June

What to give dad for his special day – why not a trip to see engines running and be fascinated by the machinery of yesteryear?

Pop along between 10:00 - 17:00 to see the impressive collection of internal combustion and steam engines. To add to the atmosphere that day many engines will be running; there is also a special Fathers Day Fun Sheet and remember, if you bring your dad along that day - he gets in free! The shop has a range of unusual gifts and hand made cards to make all dads and grandads feel extra special.

The museum in Poynton, Cheshire also has a giant model of the village showing how it looked c1900. The volunteers have spent over 4000 hours bringing the miniature village to life. It’s available to view and for those local to the area it is great fun working out where your house is now compared with the landscape of old collieries and railways.

See website https://www.enginemuseum.org for map on how to find us.

I'll get my O.H to take the children to your museum all for free and I'll stay at home. That's my kind of Fathers Day!!

Thanks very much for this suggestion. My DH loves engines and so does my DS so it sounds like a great day out for Father's Day. May even ask FIL if he wants to go too.

    great suggestion!

Im a stickler for home made gifts or personalised gifts. My parents are both on Facebook which makes it very easy to share stuff with them on special occasions! Always making them video's on facebook with all their favourite pictures and memories.

As well as the items highlighted below there will be blacksmiths working and a wood turner. Even more value for money - or for free if you are a dad or granddad!
