No matter how I try to get around it, it blocks me after two
more than one computer/laptop. You can print off more coupons with another laptop or computer. Some are managing to do it at work too, ours blocks coupon installer.0 -
Hey all, My OH cousins 15 year old daughter has terminal cancer. Her Name is Alice Pyne and she has a blog here http://alicepyne.blogspot.com/2011/06/hello_06.html?spref=tw.
She has wrote a bucket list and one of them is be a Twitter Trend. I am asking for anybody who has a twitter account to help this come true all you have to do is add #alicesbucketlist to your tweet. Many celebrities have joined in with this including Davina McCall, Philip Scophfield, Freddy Flintoff and many more.
Thank you
Gonna catch up on other posts later, but just seen this when skimming through the posts and saw Aesop was online so thought she might know the answer;) What is a Twitter Trend, is it like a friend on Facebook? I have a twitter account but I only opened it to try and get a cravendale coupon ages ago and have done nothing with it, but would like to help munchkinz OH cousin if I can. What do I need to do?Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

A Twitter Trend is when something is preceded with a hashtag # and lots and lots and lots and lots (you get the meaning) of people retweet (repeat a tweet they have seen) or tweet (post a status) the same tweet with a hashtag.
For example
#alicesbucketlist - anything that is tweeted (said) with this hashtag #alicesbucketlist
the more people that do it, twitter picks it up if it is trending.
trending meaning, so many millions of people talking about the same hashtag status.
I checked google and Alice went viral 2 days ago and definitely trended!

hope this kinda makes sense?
I can get a twitter guide for you, Blue, my friend wrote it.
will be later today though.0 -
From the Time Newsfeed
When Alice Pyne created a blog to post her bucket list, she had no idea that people all over the world soon would know what she wants to do before she dies. The 15-year-old Brit who suffers from terminal Hodgkin's Lymphoma penned her first entry Monday, and just a few days later #alicesbucketlist was a trending topic on Twitter.
(LIST: Top 10 Twitter controversies)
"The cancer is now spreading through my body," she wrote in her first post. "It's a pain because there's so much stuff that I still want to do." At the suggestion of her mother, she decided to turn her ideas into a bucket list.
The hashtag drew widespread attention to her story. Tweeters publicized her list, which includes things like, "to make everyone sign up to be a bone marrow donor," and "to go to Cadbury World and eat loads of chocolate."
Though Alice wrote in her first post, "I'm not expecting to do everything on it. Some of the things are just not going to happen," she may be surprised at how much users touched by her courage want to help her accomplish. One of the items on her list was "To meet Take That." Thursday, in a post titled, "It's Manic," she broke "mega exciting news": she will get to socialize with the popular British music group this weekend. Early Friday, she announced that, "we just hit £10,000 for cancer research by you sponsoring my little sister for her run this weekend."
This poignant story reminds us that despite recent events, there's still some hope for the Internet community.

Thanks for the reply Aesop:T:T. Not had anything to do with twitter and tbh if it wasn't to help someone then I would gladly not bother with it again. It all sounds a bit complicated to me:o:oso a twitter guide would be good or just a "thicko's" step by step guide to how I help Alice please. ThanksBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I must admit when I first started using twitter, I didn't have a clue...
but I soon found other compers to follow and was regularly chatting to nice people and sharing comps and winning the odd comp. I used to talk to the owner of the King of Shaves and hassle him for a giveaway!
stopped using it so much when I started working 3 days a week.
Just went back on and found out some news about someone I used to chat with.
If you want to help, log into your account, and goto the box that says
What's happening?
paste this into it and press tweet
#alicesbucketlist #postpals #kickcancer
then you will be officially helping alice to trend.0 -

I think one of the best ways to help Alice, is to do what she has been asking - to sign up for the Bone Marrow Donor register. And if you can, donate blood.
maybe that is what we should be tweeting with her hashtag
I can no longer donate since receiving a blood transfusion.0 -
