I think you might like this :-

elderflower_and_strawberries.jpg The good life, the easy way
Many foodies dream of living the good life, but growing your own takes time, dedication and some outdoor space – something a lot of us don't have. So I've turned to picking my own! Elderflowers can still be found in abundance across the country, perfect for cordial and elderflower champagne. Jane Hornby’s elderflower cordial recipe is reliable and easy, my tip is to freeze portions for later use. Strawberries are also deliciously ripe now, so head to your local pick your own and hunt down the biggest, juiciest strawberries you can find. I'm going to attempt strawberry and elderflower jam using homemade cordial!
Top tips for a great day out at the BBC Good Food Show Summer
This will be the 5th BBC Good Food Show Summer I have worked on, which means by the end of it I will have spent a whole month of my life experiencing it! So, as an expert, I would like to make a few recommendations for making it a great day out…
    • There's a great selection of companies selling artisan produce, gadgets and kitchen equipment. I’ve already started writing my shopping list and I thought I'd let you in on some of the most delicious, unique and popular products at the Show - see my Shopping Highlights in the right-hand column of this email.
    • Whether you want a budget option or to splurge, there are loads of stands to buy hot and cold food from, plus two fantastic restaurants (book in advance) – no need to pack your own sandwiches!
    • The weather forecast for this month looks like it’s full of sunshine, so take some time to enjoy the beautiful RHS Show Gardens in BBC Gardeners’ World Live and don’t forget the sunscreen.
    • Clear out your freezer! There are so many wonderful things to buy at the Show, make sure you have room in your freezer for them and follow these BBC Good Food top tips on freezing.

American Food Direct Stock up on your favourite American foods here, including candy, soda and cake mixes.
    Kin Knives
It's worth investing in these spectacularly sharp Japanese knives - give one a ‘test drive’ at the Show.
    Gower Cottage Brownies
Order brownies by post for a friend, and don’t forget to treat yourself to some of the best brownies around!
    Anglesey Sea Salt
Really interesting flavours of Welsh sea salt including vanilla which I'm told is great with fish.
    Luponde Tea
This company is brand new to the Show and their products look great for gifts and treats.

Do you cook the bread and cake mixes in a bread maker? I've lost the thread that gave instructions on the best way to cook the mixes in a bread maker and last time I did some it was flat and not nice:o:o

The reason I don't like going for a check up at the dentist is that I always find they say I need something doing and unlike most things you have no idea whether they are telling the truth or just short of work/dosh.

hi blue my laptop has been down for two days managed to get it fixed,i have got a bread maker but make the bread mixes by hand they dont take long to make and i just follow instructions on the pack

    kind of coupon related,
i won a comp last year for a nights stay at a hotel in Telford, including 1 st class rail travel,im going to the hotel soon and have been trying to arrange the trains, 1st lot of tickets arrived but dont cover the first leg of my journey from Reading to Birmingham, phoned them up and was told they dont have tickets for that area, after a bit of conflab he said he would send tickets for 1st leg which arrived today which were standard class, phoned again and was told they cant get hold of 1st class tickets but if i didnt mind travelling standard he would send 1st class tickets for travel within the south east. Thought i would push my luck so asked if i settled for standard would they be able to send tickets from reading to birmingham return for a party of 6, he said no problem .
So we are all off to gfs next weekend by train plus when we go to telford we will go standard to birmingham and 1st class to telford.
some people are so helpful ( unlike the trout i encountered at asda today)lol

ps coupon reated bit is the gfs

Doesn't have to be coupon related on the drivel thread. I had a chat re a fly with nine lives a couple of days ago.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This thread is for us all to talk about anything under the sun.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
