I am 63 years old and want to get a mortgage.
I have a reasonable amount of cash from the sale of my house in 1999.
I have not worked for some years so have no "books" to show the lender.
Suggestions please.

You can get a mortgage at 63 if you can prove suitable regular income ie pension.
Jobs on the side will be no good.
Maximum term is often until 75 yrs old therefore 12 years in your case. After all the searching life is what i make it!0
