May not sound like a money saving post but may well be if my cats get injured. My neighbour has put one of these on dividing fence. I guess it's to keep my cats from climbing into his garden as oposed to my son.(don't think my son doe's) It's plastic spikes. How legal is this? Think he can do it but you can tell a boy not to climb but not a cat. Wonder how i stand about Vet bills for any injures to my cats? Fence prob his as panels are facing in his side.

If they are sharp then I would say that it is illegal for these to be on a small fence, Rules exist on who can install that kind of security feature and where.
Cats always look before they leap, so it will be fine.
Its sad that so many people are so small minded that they worry that that a neighbours cat might roam into their garden. I wish I had so little to worry about.
Hope this helps.0 -

I love cats and would welcome them into my garden, however, I don't welcome them pooing in my garden and leaving me or my children with the risk of toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasmosis is a lot to worry about. I would imagine that this the reason for the deterrent and not that the don't want a cat in the garden.Jellynose0 -

I know of someone who had that - a middle aged man - and he was very ill for months.Stercus accidit0 -

No, plastic about 1 inch spikes, no pigeons about here. They are only on one side i.e. dividing fence, can only be to keep cats off.0 -
