Sites removing code boxes if you visit organicaly

Hi all. Not sure if anyone is aware of this but... An increasing number of sites are removing the voucher code box at the checkout if you have NOT been referred to the site via a voucher code website or similar. So if you are not given the option the option of putting in a voucher code, try via referral.
The way they see it if you see a voucher code box when you go to pay it will encourage you to go and find one, or change your mind about the whole purchase.

I hate it when you have to go all the way through checkout to get the discount code box - a lot of the time im not going to buy it unless they take the discount off, but you quite often have to go through the rigmarole of registering to get to the point where they let you enter your code .. grr ..I smile because I have no idea what is going on
