Way better than a lot of similar priced cheapo ones from Argos (e.g Koochi etc) and M&P! MIL bought a M&P one that was 'reduced' to £60 something quid from M&P store. Its awful! Not tried Maclaren ones though.
think once you've tried a maclaren you never go back. I do agree the pop is better quality than the cheapo ones, ie obaby ones. i think with me, i was looking at buying a maclaren, so looked at it in the shop read reviews etc and loved it, but was thinking that £200 for a stroller was abit too much, so thought i'd get a silver cross thinking there probs wouldn't much difference in quality. i remember one of the things that broke now, it was part of the plastic that connects the harness to the bit where it fastens. and my baby just didn't seem comfy in it, she kept sliding forward and no matter how i tried to adjust the harness she just kept sliding down. i sold it to my friend, hence the mega cheap price i sold it for, she knew about all the things i didn't like about it, but wanted anyway. really does not compare to the maclaren (even second hand), think from experience i will be buying a maclaren next time, wish i'd bought one first time last time, would have saved me alot of money (swapped and changed quite alot). my nearly 3 year old still has plenty of room in the xt and on holiday last week, we extended the leg rest (the one they have out when they are little) and laid it fully flat, she managed to lay on her side with her legs slightly curled, and looked just as comfy as she would in a bed, and she is taller than average for her age.
i know im rambling on about the maclaren techno xt, but i cannot reccomend it enough. if anybody wants a money saving pushchair, invest in one of these. i went through about 6 pushchairs before getting it, so wasted alot of money, all because i thought £200 was too expensive, but you definately get what you pay for. i only paid £45 for mine second hand, and now at 4 years old ish, its still got alot of years left in it, to be honest if i had another baby i'd be confident it would last until that one out grew it too. really is like an investment, i love mine to bits, i am sad i know lol:o0 -

We're on our second POP too! Only because my eldest who is now 4 used hers so much, we thought it was a good idea to get a new one for our baby.
Love it so much. I had vouchers for Mamas and Papas with out littlest and felt I should buy one of their buggies but in the end they just couldn't compete with the Pop. I kept looking at them in store and wishing I could get one so in the end I did!
The harness is much improved since my previous version, and my baby has been in it since birth as it goes flat (although she has to have it tilted a bit as she has severe reflux).
I would definitely recommend the Silver Cross Pop to everyone, was tempted to get myself another one as this price is so great and they have the aubergine colour too! I have a grey one with circles (hubbies choice) but I wanted the purple one! But my husband says we don't need 2 and I know he's right as they last so well.
In fact although its a bit worn out, the eldests one is in the loft in case of emergencies, but I don't think we'll need it!:j Is MSE saving me money, or making me spend more on all the bargains?!:j0 -
