Tax return question

Hi,
I was on the wrong tax code for the last two months due to starting a new job. I'm just wondering, do I apply for a tax return now or later on in the year? I'll probably be working abroad by the end of this tax year, so I don't know if that makes a difference to when I apply for it.
I've never done this before so sorry if these are dumb questions.
cheers for any help

Not a lot of information to go on here but
once your tax code is corrected your tax should sort itself out automatically0 -
Thanks I didn't realise that. I changed my tax code over the phone after telling them I'd paid too much tax last month.
Does that mean I won't have to apply for a tax return and I will automatically get the tax I'm owed given back to me at the end of the year?
Sorry if this is too vague, and thank you for helping.0 -
well
if your payslips have the correct tax code and if they show the correct earnings to date and tax to date (i.e. they include the figures from your previous employment) then your tax will be correct
however if you cease employment before the end of the tax year then you will be eligible for a tax refund0
