Which reliable lender is going to give me a huge loan with a great Apr when they can see I caused no end of problems not repaying my previous loans?

Yep - sorry - I was just misinterpreting the statement that was being made. I was saying that, even today, plenty of lenders are more than happy to give pretty reasonable rates to anyone who in the past has proved themselves more than capable of taking out a CC or loan and paying it back. For "bad credit" we can pretty much assume they mean "took a loan and didn't (intend to) pay it back." The "bad credit" people are going to struggle in the future now they don't have the 'slightly got my middle name wrong" defence about "unenforceable" loans.

seems like you are in serious problem. low payment work, need to buy car, have to go abroad, and need that much loan? i think the lender will need more than once to think of letting you go with the money. make one major focus on your needs. even it is hard, basically it will help you to set aside the unimportant needs.

If you really need to get to your sick family member can I suggest looking at some of the local forums (to that area) and you can often find lifts avalible / share drivers etc

I went to Germany to visit family using that method..make sure you are safe etc and get all the info before you go ( I went with a family who wanted another driver due to illness of the mother)
This might not be practical depending on where they are but it could well be worth checking out ??

I know that is nothing about the loan or even the advice you wanted but I thought it worth adding in case it did help.

Also you can get a pretty good second hand car from ebay for under 1k cash so that might be worth saving for ?

Think about it OP. Given your combination of bad debt, bad credit history and low wage, would you lend yourself the money. If the answer is yes then you are even more naive than you appear to be from your posts.
