Spot stain removal for ivory satin wedding dress

I am hoping you lovely ladies (and gents!) can help.
I bought a beautiful wedding dress (for £62!!!) but it has a couple of minor stains. One looks a little like make up.
I researched wedding dress cleaning and it would cost more than I paid for the dress if I go that route  so if I can avoid that I will try.
Is there anyway you can think of to spot treat ivory satin without leaving a water mark or ruining the fabric please?

Unfortunately not because the stain is on my stomach area so will look a bit odd.
That thread is good but its just a couple of tiny stains and before the big day I don't want to risk machine washing the dress in case something goes badly wrong.

Hide it with the bouquet? I was a bridesmaid years ago and spilt sherry on the front of my frock. I remember walking down the isle with a high held bouquet. The dress was dark pink with a muddy stain being hidden by pale pink flowers. LOL.0

I try this out on a bit out of the way first, near the hem is your best bet:
using a clean white cotton cloth, dip this into warm water and rub white soap onto it and gently rub over the stain. Using a clean bit of the cloth dip into fresh water and rub again to get rid of the suds. Pat dry using a clean dry white cloth.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
I had the same problem with my wedding dress which I bought from Ebay. We cleaned the marks off using a very mild solution of original fairy liquid! (my mam thinks of the stuff as old-stylers think of star drops
) We kept the cloth only just wet and dabbed in one direction to remove the stain we used a different cloth in clean water (only just damp) to clean the soap off and let dry out of sunlight. There wasn't a spot left and my dress looked beautiful on the day. Try testing it on somewhere inside the hem if you are nervous about water marks. Good luck xx

As the OS thread was of no use, I moved this to the weddings board to see if you can get some specialist help over here

Tooth brush and soap worked for me0

Have a look for some specialist stain removers. I had ballpen on my second wedding dress when it arrived, it worked a treat. It was the stain devils stuff, think it cost about £30

Gleeful was your dress satin? I looked at a kind of 'for everything' stain devil and bought it but I haven't had the nerve to use it (besides OH is here so will have to wait till he is back at work on Monday before I can get my dress out)
