We ordered a £300 camera from them about 5-6 years ago, it was ordered on the Monday afternoon & it arrived from France at 11.15 next morn. So we were quite pleased with them.

Well personally can't recommend them...Ordered an MP3 player from them several years back, was meant to be delivered by Citylink and was marked as delivered, item never came. Complained to Pixmania and the same thing happened again! Finally they sent a third one via DHL which actually turned up - MP3 player didn't work and they wanted me to pay something like £30 to send it back to them insured which they told me they wouldn't refund

I've never even ordered from them before and I get spammed to hell by them and there is no way of getting them to stop, their stupid unsubscribe page doesn't even work.

From the horror stories you'll find on here, HUKD and google I would highly advise you avoid them at all costs.

I was pleased with something I bought on there and went on to buy a camcorder at a good price BUT when it came the instruction book was all in French! I mailed them and asked for an English instruction book but they said they only provided a french one with the item and that the small print does say they may send you french booklets. So I had to then buy an english one from the camcorder manufacturer which virtually wiped out the savings Id made.

Have another google for the best price you can get on the item and then use a cash back site like Topcashback to see if you can get money back on it. Amazon have it for £529 from Hughes direct but I think the following deal is much better with the freebies included and the company reputation.

John Lewis have it for £599 but that includes 5 years guarantee and a free dongle and free delivery?
Special Offer: FREE Wireless Dongle worth £54.95
    Product code - 00374163

    • Samsung TV: Free 5 year guarantee
    • Samsung WIS09ABGN: Free 1 year guarantee
    £599

£599 is just too much, ive no need for the dongle because it would be wired to the router has the router is behind the tv

the cheapest ive seen it on amazon is £547 you couldnt post a link could you?

Firstly check how much a 5 year guarantee would cost you and also delivery charges. Surely an extra £40 worth that?

I did a google search for best price and amazon via Hughes direct came up with that price. Have a google.

Your shipping costs with Pixmania would be at least £30 - so it would be £559 and no extended guarantee. Its a no brainer as far as Im concerned to go with JL. Sell the dongle if you dont want it.

Laksys and amazon have it at £548

I ordered a couple of things years ago which arrived intact, though stopped ordering when they started supplying printers without any ink, even though the manufacturer told me any of their printers sold in Europe came with a set of inks, albeit starter capacity

Looking at the cost of extended warranties, John Lewis is very cheap with 5 years, if it were me, I would save up the extra, maybe you can spend a few days here to recoup the difference
