HELP!!!!!
It's son's girlfriend's birthday on Tuesday and though son has been promising for weeks to give me some ideas of what I could get her, he hasn't bothered till tonight.
So - she's been looking at this on eBay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PREMIUM-ACRYLIC-NAIL-ART-FULL-KIT-777-/140559252558?_trksid=p3286.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D2%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D371112770245644801
... but it's in Hong Kong, and it wouldn't get here on time.

Can I buy something similar locally do you think?
I don't do nails, so I don't even know what sort of shop I should look in.
Can any of you beautifully manicured people give me any pointers please?
I know I'll probably end up paying more, but I like to give her her present on the day.

not manicured but - either try boots/superdrug, or perhaps do an ebay search for price / uk only and maybe distance - if there was one local to you maybe you could pick it up? I believe there are wholesalers of beauty products as well, have a look in the yellow pages. HTH.0

How old is the girlfriend?
Acrylics are hard on your natural nail.
Have a look in Argos, they do lots of kits. Nail Foils are very in right now.

Maybe you could get her a voucher for a manicure.0 -
She's 18.
I think my son and her nails are her main interests in life actually, though not necessarily in that order.
I often comment on her groovy nails because we haven't really got a lot in common.

If she is really into her nails maybe a voucher for a place that sells nail products would be best - its always hard buying for someone who is really into something, when you know little about it yourselfI smile because I have no idea what is going on
