Gopher money suggestions for clearing credit card debt

Hi
I went to the citizens advice who advised me to contact my creditors and come to an arrangements over my repayments. They didnt listen to me. I was contact by Gopher Money like yourself. They explained that their fee would be a drop in the ocean compared to the amount of interest and charges i would be paying. Im in a plan with them now and I will be debt free in 30 months. Sharks they are not, they are providing a service and charge for it. Good luck anyway.
I think Citizens Advice offer advice but they don't actually do the debt management for you - what they could have done is direct you towards CCCS or Payplan who offer a dmp service free of charge. A lot of people have signed up with fee-paying debt management companies, thought everything was brilliant at the start...until they start getting calls from debt collectors etc because proper arrangements haven't been made and their money has been paying fees for months and not being forwarded to creditors. I hope for your sake that Gopher are better than most of the companies out there!Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -

Ignore this guy, he has ulterior motives - he doesn't care about your situation and he's WRONGLY advertising and singing the praises of a company who will charge you to do things that a debt charity will do for you for free."I once grumbled at having no boots - until I met a man with no feet" Anon

Yes they are 'sharks', because they're charging vulnerable people fees for assistance that various charities offer for free, motivated by no other reason by greed and the unfortunate ignorance of some of their customers that free alternatives exist :mad:0
