Has anyone sold books on Amazon?
I have a load of text books from doing my Management degree more or less brand new and thought I'd try and get a few pennies for them.
Just wondering how the cost of postage is covered?

The set postage for all books is £2.80 but you pay a hefty fee out of that and the price of the book when you sell. basically if you sell a book for 1p you get £1.50 net, and that includes your postage element.
However the good thing is that you don't pay to list, only when a book is sold and also before you click to confirm the listing you see the total net proceeds you can expect, so make sure that covers your postage!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. it depends on the weight. the bigger and heavier it is, the better off you are selling it on ebay etc. amazon have a fixed postage fee no matter the weight of the book ( and we all know they can be HEAVY! ) from the 2.80 ( i think postage now ) you only get half that.
try gumtree for the heavy books or ask around the uni to see if any new students need the book.2023 wins - zilch, nada, big fat duck. quack quack,0 -
Just add the postage to your book price - I do and they do sell - Uni books are always in high demand. You can also search by isbn number to work out the value of the book which helps0
