Boots own hand cream does a good job. Mine spots dont disappear but get much fainter.
There is an article in the Mail not specifically for age spots But on a test of some hand creams they say this was best for fading spots
Dermalogica Multivitamin Hand and Nail Treatment (£14.20 for 74ml; 0800 591818 for stockists).
Contains antioxidant protection as well as liquorice extract, which can reduce existing hyper pigmentation (brown marks) and an SPF15. So good allround ingredients, UV protection and moisturisation.

Am not 100% on this but I remember age spots to be to do with Liver function and as a result of inner health: cleaning up your diet is one thing, stopping smoking, drinking more plain water, fewer toxins (alcohol, caffiene...etc) all could help.
Some dark skin patches are caused by sunlight so aside from those which have already been caused, you can help slow down the rate that more show by using a protective UVA and UVB hand cream, Boots sell one as do many other sun care brands.
Retinol-A (a type of vitamin A not found in foods or few foods-not sure on exact details!) is one ingredient which people use to work on dark spots and similar BUT!! Retinol-A does increase skin damage when work in the sun so only use this stuff and night and do get it prescribed or speak to a pharmacist first as it can cause damage. It can also be quite dangerous so get plenty of advice on that first for your own sake.
I use the Boots hand cream with SPF 15 which I really like and would recommend however I have no idea if it will take away dark spots already created.0 -
Ive no doubt mine are due to the sun
But damage done and I do find the p and p Boots No. 7 handcream fades them from deep brown to almost invisible.

Thank you for your replies. I can't use Boots P&P on my face but could try the serum I have on my hands and see how it goes. xIf you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0

I have this problem on my face & haven't found a solution. Anyone recommend a reasonably priced face product which could help reduce brown areas on the face?0

Thats a big area to apply (and reapply after every handwash!) just the serum, why would you not use the P&P handcream they sell?Wouldnt have thought the serum would have the same ingredients as the p and p intense hand cream.
It's just a small tube of the serum that I have lying around. Might as well use it up! xIf you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -

Cool, but may be not strong enough: the skin on your hand is not the same as that on your face, the skin on your face is finer so products tend to be finer and not as dense as required for the thicker skin on your hands, it may not make any different.
Also you'd really not expect to see results from any cream within a few days, things tend to show (even with the P&P trials they did) after 10-14 days. This is what I find anyway when I'm trying to find products which have had a reaction to me: the reaction doesn't generally appear within the first week at least unless I have a specific problem with it being not sensitive enough and causing me redness/sore skin.0
