Just got back from our local Extra and can confirm that this seems to be working on all the Tesco knives, plates, pans etc that are showing up reduced on the yellow labels. The price it's coming up at on the till is the price the yellow SEL says that you save!! So it's like getting it for 80% off!!!!

    I got
Tesco soft grip peeler knives, veg knives and utility knives for 50-60p
Steak knife set for £1.30 instead of £5.20
Glass placemats with swirls on for £1.85 instead of £7.40
Black "Trail" 12 piece dinner set for £7.60 instead of £30.40
Tesco Go Cook pans from between £4.40-£5 from £18-20
    And lots more!!!!

    HTH someone!!!

Do you know what Go Cook pans were on offer? My Tesco had limited stock
  • I got some, I got some! :j

2 of the knives were still scanning at £25 odd so I avoided those; but managed to get the Chefs, Carving, Bread, Paring and Vegetable Knives all at the reduced prices.

They had taken the SELs off of all these knives but left the ones on the £25 knives. The SA said "wow, that seems cheap" :D

As we have only recently bought some Kitchen Devil knives I had the intention of buying these to sell on; but on coming home the OH has other ideas and thinks we should keep them as they are better then those. Hmmm; now do I go back and get another set for selling off again.

I also got the kitchen block of knives for £13! bought the last two in Antrim, one for myself and one for my dad for xmas!

Although I dont actually think its a 'glitch', as in the Antrim store they had put brand new white SELs up with reduced 'glitch' price, not yellow one's with an original price and the 20% reduced price. The knife set I got had a normal SEL of £13, would not of known it was online for £50.

This was on mostly their 'professional cook' range and some other cookware too including this set of saucepans for £2.40!!!!:eek:http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-0556.aspx

There are definately some good deals to be had!!!!!:D
thats going into my basket at £9.60 booo

I didn't look for the knife block set, but got 4 knives from the professional range - all had the silly low price (e.g. £2.10) as a white SEL. So not exactly a glitch in my store (Manchester Gorton), more like a bargain!!! The other range of knives were similarly silly prices, e.g. 80p for the kitchen knife.

That explains why some of the kitchen stuff has been covered in plastic to stop people buying at Tower Park, Poole. There were some bits that were not covered over with saving SEL labels. Guess it may work on these.

Booooo, all isles blocked off in my tescos, garden and kitchen. Customers unable to purchase due to a systems error.

Which store was this please? Any one tried Hatfield yet?
